Facilitators: Pete Enns and Jared Byas

Deconstruction has become a vital and energizing topic for Christians to describe their spiritual journey out of their inherited faith traditions that have become a burden to them. Using Richard Rohr’s language of orientation, disorientation, and reorientation, Pete Enns and Jared Byas, hosts of The Bible for Normal People podcastwill facilitate discussions around these three terms. Through collaboration, respect, and vulnerability, their hope is for the collective wisdom and experience of the group to support us all  as we walk the path of faith toward renewed communion with God.

Pete Enns

Pete teaches, writes, and speaks about what it means to have Christian faith in today’s world, especially how the Bible factors into it. He teaching in the theology department at Eastern University in Pennsylvania, and has written some books, including How the Bible Actually Works, The Sin of Certainty, The Bible Tells Me So, and Inspiration and Incarnation. With Jared Byas, Pete also hosts “the only God ordained podcast on the internet,” The Bible for Normal People.

Jared Byas

Jared is a member of the Choctaw Nation and a former teaching pastor and professor of philosophy who lives near Philadelphia. He is the co-author of Genesis for Normal People with Peter Enns and co-host of the popular podcast The Bible for Normal People.

Check In for pre-festival events will be available on Wednesday from 1 pm to 5 pm, and Thursday from 7am to 9 am.

If you’re tent camping, there’s no additional campsite charge for Wednesday night.
Some campsite locations are restricted due to large venue tent construction in several areas.
RV campers will need to purchase an additional night.
