VanHoy Farms & Campground

VanHoy Farms will be hosting Wild Goose Festival and we couldn’t be more excited!

Directions to VanHoy are reasonably simple. It is located in Harmony, NC and just off of I-77, exit 65. Heading east on NC 901, Jericho road is the first right after the freeway.

Within a 20 minute drive are Statesville, to the south, and Elkin, to the north.

Staying at VanHoy

Camping, Glamping, and RV spots will be available for sale through Wild Goose. To stay updated on announcements for when ticket sales become available, sign up for our newsletter!

When available, we’ll share discounted rates that we get from local hotels. Check back here for information on any offers as the event grows closer.

Also in Statesville are self-booking options like Sleep Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Days Inn, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, and more.

Near Elkin, options such as Best Western Plus Yadkin Valley Inn & Suites, Quality Inn Jonesville, Hamilton Inn Jonesville, Hampton Inn Jonesville, and more.

Nearby Airports

Charlotte Douglas International Airport, in Charlotte, and Piedmont Triad International Airport, in Greensboro, are each about an hour drive from VanHoy.

Additional Accommodations

Nearby, there are almost no cabin rentals or options for Airbnb, etc. Alternatives might be a hotel or motel in Statesville or in Elkin (both about 20 minutes away on the interstate).

Arranging an RV rental on your own is a possible alternative, but note RV spots sell quickly once on sale through Wild Goose.

Notes on Housing Options

Not being located in a town takes a lot of pressure off us in many ways (no more battles with the mayor, the town council, and the police chief) and it also means we can’t cross the street to the hotel or walk around the corner to a cottage. We know that.

Jeff has offered some notes on housing possibilities:

Camping – very good – certainly more room for unique gatherings – there’s no river AND there’s no railroad track (see what I did there?). One primitive tent campsite is included with every ticket – same as past years.

Glamping – extensive and expansive, with better access to power in some spaces that makes the additional cost of air conditioning perhaps worth it and a bit more available.

Car Camping – This year we’re adding some designated spaces for Car Camping – enough room to keep your car at your campsite, for an additional fee (no in/out access). Not available yet for purchase; watch your email and the website.

RVs – we’ll have a lot of supported RV spaces (water and electricity with close-by or as-you-leave dumping), and we’ll have an almost unlimited amount of non-supported RV open space. We’re still working with VanHoy on exactly how many supported RV spaces we’ll have, so unfortunately we can’t start selling them yet. Watch your email and the website for announcements soon.

Off Site – a lot of hotel rooms are available 15 minutes in each direction up and down the interstate (Statesville and Elkin) and with our location less than a minute from the exit, the drive is easy and quick. We’ll also have very close day parking available for off-site participants.
