JD Stillwater is a life-long science educator, with 25 years of classroom science teaching and three years as a full-time science ambassador.
A graduate of Cornell University, JD writes and speaks about science as a source of profound inspiration and guidance in how to orient ourselves in the world. This work springs from JD’s love of science and his gift for making difficult concepts graspable for non-scientists.
JD is an officer of the Religious Naturalist Association, a Fellow of Sinai and Synapses, and serves on the governing Council of the Institute on Religion in an Age of Science. JD is married (since 1987) with two grown children.
Check In for pre-festival events will be available on Wednesday from 1 pm to 5 pm, and Thursday from 7am to 9 am.
If you’re tent camping, there’s no additional campsite charge for Wednesday night.
Some campsite locations are restricted due to large venue tent construction in several areas.
RV campers will need to purchase an additional night.
