Keeping the Goose in Flight is a Year-Round Effort.
Year-round volunteers and part-time paid help manage a million details preparing for the next festival; organizing online events; maintaining our online community; continuing our subscriptions to software for managing and communicating with our flock; producing graphics and video, programming, and an endless list of other functions.
Will You Help Sustain Wild Goose?
The cost to sustain us from one year to the next is normally covered mostly by ticket sales from the previous year. But this year, we have no “previous year” ticket sales. And while we’re selling tickets for 2021, we can’t touch that income for 2020 operating expenses – that must be reserved for the festival and for the months following.
More Than a Festival – An Equipping Place
We’re on a mission to expand Wild Goose into a relevant, ever-present, and timely year-round “Equipping Place.” We’ve experimented recently with a few Wild Goose Community online events geared toward action. We’re encouraged by the response and we want to take it further and deeper.

We’re already making an impact: Since COVID-19, we’ve hosted online events such as The Racial Reality of America, Tipping Point: Are We There Yet?, ENGAGE! – Sprint to the Finish, and more – ground-breaking events with some of the most inspiring thought leaders around race, democracy, and the importance of voting. We’ve seen workgroups spin out of those events – groups of committed people who want to take action to change the world.
What Will Your Investment Accomplish?
We know that folx leave the festival inspired, refreshed, informed, and ready to return to their communities committed to spread the work like ripples spreading in a pond. And the same thing happens through our online events with even more and wider high-impact “ripples.”
Wild Goosers are working on issues like racism, white fragility, LGBTQ rights, gender equality, poverty, addiction/harm reduction, disability awareness/abelism, creation care/environment, mental health, suicide prevention, purity culture, border crisis, community engagement/activism and more.
