This is Not: An Online Festival.

Wild Goose Festival is a four-day event where we interact with people in unexpected, spontaneous ways – at all times of day and night. It’s a place where we walk on dusty (or muddy) dirt roads, get sweaty, take a dip in the cool water of the French Broad River or in the hot tubs of the spa, camp in tents, hitch rides in golf carts, and, oh yeah – participate in sessions and performances.

This Is: A Year-Round Community Space.

This is a space where the spirit of the Goose comes to your living room. Where we can remember that it is all of us that carry the spirit of the Goose, all through the year, not just a weekend in July.  A place where you can meet for conversation and participate in sessions. We think that especially now, we can all use a space like this to gather; to stay in touch; to be inspired by some great thought-provoking sessions and conversations. And we think this is a concept that can live on long after this pandemic crisis has passed.

How it works – DIY or Curated

Do It Yourself

Front Porch is a conversation space where you can drop in any time. Pre-arrange a time with friends to meet up there, or just drop in anytime to see what’s happening. This is “Do It Yourself” style – not curated or hosted by anyone but you. You’ll need to register to receive a password that gets you in (we’d rather not make you jump through those hoops but “zoom bombing” has forced us to tighten security around this).

NOTE – We’re in the process of switching data management systems and temporarily cannot issue passwords or memberships for this space. We hope to get things running again soon.

Curated events appear on our schedule and are promoted through our website, social media, and emails to the Wild Goose Community.

You can use a curated space for anything from a simple meetup to a more formal presentation –  If you’d like to host a curated space, please submit the form (below) where you can tell us about yourself and your proposed event. We’ll take it from there and get back to you with everything you’ll need. All the details and instructions are on the form – you can check it out without submitting if you just want to find out more.

The schedule for all curated spaces is updated daily. Check it often!

Community Guidelines
Please follow the same community guidelines as you would at the festival and keep in mind that people of all ages are participating.

Wild Goose Festival Community is an evolving work in progress. We’ll be adding additional scheduled Zoom events hosted by co-creators – thought leaders, performers, and others. Keep watching this space for more info!

We want to know what you think. Your feedback will help us improve this work-in-progress.   Post your comments here
