Bill McKibben, renowned environmentalist, author, and climate activist is coming to Wild Goose 2023!
Called a “moral visionary,” he’s the winner of the Right Livelihood Award, sometimes called the alternate Nobel. This Schumann Distinguished Scholar in Environmental Studies at Middlebury College has also been honored with the Gandhi Peace Award and the Thomas Merton Award.
Author of more than a dozen books, including bestsellers Falter, Deep Economy, and The End of Nature, the first book to warn the public of climate change, his work is inspiring generations of environmental advocates.
Bill founded “Third Act,” leading “Experienced Americans” in bringing their power into play, and 350.org, a global campaign climate campaign.
His most recent book, The Flag, The Cross, and the Station Wagon, is an insightful and stimulating look into the cultural history of post-WWII United States.
Come join us for thought-provoking discussions, inspiring performances, and meaningful connections. Wild Goose is a place to celebrate and a place to work toward a more just and equitable world.
