Stories that Heal, Stories that Kill
Hugh Hollowell, Pastor at Love Wins Ministries in Raleigh, a congregation of people experiencing homelessness, presents: Stories that Heal, Stories that Kill. The stories we tell about our work, our mission trips and our outreach programs have the potential to do an incredible amount of good – or harm. Do we make room for the stories of the people we minister among, or have we turned them into props in a movie about us? Hugh will draw from his decade of work among people experiencing homelessness as we explore ways to tell stories that build people, instead of colonizing them.
