My Associate is a Drag Queen (And Other Thoughts on LGBTQIA Ministry)
June 11, 202010:00 am–11:00 am
The Rev. Robert W. Lee is a well-known American preacher who serves a church in Newton, North Carolina. This church is surrounded by a conservative, fundamentalist theology in the county and is almost 90% LGBTQ. The Rev. Leo Morton, Lee’s associate pastor, joins Rev. Lee in a conversation on what they’ve learned doing ministry together, their growing edges, misunderstandings, and misconceptions. Together they hope to show that God is in the communities we choose to associate with. So whether your church is waving the pride flag or still figuring out vocabulary, we hope to show we all have more to learn and work to do.
