Therese Taylor-Stinson (she/her/hers) is the founding managing member of the Spiritual Directors of Color Network, Ltd., an international, ecumenical/interfaith association of persons of color with a ministry of spiritual accompaniment. She is an ordained deacon and ruling elder in the PCUSA, having served a term as Moderator for National Capital Presbytery (NCP) from 2015-2018, extended due to a change in terms. Therese then ended a term as Liaison for Race and Reconciliation on NCP's Mission Coordinating Committee in 2021 following her extended term as moderator. In 2018, Therese won an Indie Author Legacy Award Author of the Year in the area of social awareness for her solo-edited work Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around: Stories of Contemplation and Justice, and she was recognized by Grace and Race Inc., as a Collaborative Bridge Builder for her varied organizing roles around racial justice. She is foundationally a spiritual director for almost 18 years, and married to Bernard.
