Tracey Schmidt

Tracey Schmidt is an award-winning poet whose work has been published in numerous journals and anthologies. She has performed poetry around the country, at TED-X, and at such facilities as the NC Center for the Advancement of Teaching, Julia Cameron's Creativity Camp, the JC Campbell Folk School, in Ireland and Canada, and in her hometown of Asheville, NC. Her book of poetry, I Have Fallen in Love with the World, Turtle Dove Press, 2011, was published to rave reviews, as well as a music/poetry CD Returning Home: the work of Rumi, Hafiz, and her own poetry. She has facilitated poetry writing around the country. She is touring this summer in collaboration with musicians; her opening tour in 2011 was with famed Hafiz translator Daniel Ladinsky.
