An Author (Breaking Bad Faith, Craft Brewed Jesus, and Confessions of a Bible Thumper), Podcaster (The Spiritual Brewpub), and Deconstruction Workshop Presenter, Michael Camp is a former conservative evangelical and amateur historian. He spent 25 years as an evangelical missionary to Muslims, an aid worker in Africa, and a leader in conservative/charismatic churches before experiencing a huge faith shift. His specialty is drawing on history to help people deconstruct from conservative Christianity and reconstruct Jesus' subversive path of peace. Michael runs a Religious Deconstruction Workshop that sheds light on historical views of the Bible, church, and salvation and introduces cognitive/philosophical techniques that make deconstruction easier. He also facilitates empowerment projects for the poor in Africa thru his local Rotary Club. Living in Seattle, WA with his wife Lori, Michael presents at a variety progressive Christian venues. This is his third time speaking at the Goose.
