Micah spent his life awakening to the calling of the mystic. Growing up in the South of the 60's and 70's, he identified with the hippie lifestyle-peace, love, and rock and roll. Then after having a born again experience, he signed full-on to American evangelicalism, carrying his Bible and witnessing to whoever would listen. After college, he traveled to Europe to share the gospel in Amsterdam, then returned to become a praise and worship leader. He took the full ride in the modern American church, but became more and more drawn to the mystics, both Eastern and Western. Now, much of that more outward faith has transformed into learning to be still and listen, to know that all one ever needs or wants is already within, and that prayer is more listening to the voice of God inside, rather than calling to a God far away.
