The Rev Canon Lisa Fry started out life as an actor, appearing as Gretyl at age 6 with a professional theatre company. After college she formed her own theatrical troupe which toured New England with original inspirationally humorous musicals. She entered seminary on her own after her home diocese declined her postulancy for the priesthood on the grounds she was too happy. She was finally ordained in 2011, humor intact, only to discover her husband was, in fact, a transwoman. After much soul searching, Lisa decided God did indeed have a sense of humor, and discovered that life was much more fun living under the LGBTQ+ umbrella with her wife, Gwen. Lisa has taught everything from a course on Celtic Spirituality to The Lord's Prayer in Aramaic to the Enneagram. She hosts an interfaith cross-country group which delves into dreamwork, and loves learning and teaching about new ways to find God and be the church. She enjoys ghost hunting, and is a Trekker.
