I am a woman of the eastern woodlands of North America whose ancestors crossed the Atlantic long ago, a guest on Turtle Island. The shade of basswood and popular protected me as I grew, as damp clay soil grounded my body near the waters of the Great Lakes. Hickory, oak, maple, and sycamore are my kin. I offer thanksgiving under their branches daily, listening to their wisdom as I transform from Mother to Crone. I am in love with Gaia, mysterious and wondrous Earth, and seek a life of service in- and to- divine love that exists in all forms and beings. I am on the path of Universal Sufism and serve as a Cherag. I spend my days as a Soil Keeper, a relationship cultivator, and a masters of divinity student at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio.
