I'm a glass cage of emotion thinking about it. My curved path from rural Southern Baptist VBS snack-time loving chubby kid, to campus minster, to low-key internet mystic, with a few stops in between, to total burn out and the culling of most of life's protective comforts. I couldn't have ever fathomed a more absurd trajectory. I certainly never imagined that I'd land here with so many beautiful souls. There were moments when I thought it couldn't get worse or weirder and then G-d says, Open your hand Jen. Now hold my beer. Pretty much a loop of utter surrender leading back to grasping. Rinse, repeat. Our very beings are living this experience of time and life together as cells of a greater being. I guess it's all quite easy and quite terrifying if we remember who/what we are. My ability to see the true self, the true need is my superpower. What's yours? The world needs more of that. When we feel heard, feel seen, feel understood.
