Cassidy Hall

Cassidy Hall (she/her)is an award-winning filmmaker, podcaster, and author of the forthcoming book, Queering Contemplation: Finding Queerness in the Roots and Future of Contemplative Spirituality (Broadleaf, 2024). She is currently pursuing her Doctorate at CTS and holds Masters degrees in Divinity, Theological Studies, and Counseling.Before pursuing her MDiv and MTS in Indianapolis, Cassidy lived in Los Angeles where she worked in documentary filmmaking. Her films includeIn Pursuit of Silence, about our relationship with silence and sound, and her directorial debut film, Day of a Stranger, about Thomas Merton's hermitage years. She hosts two podcasts on the Christian Century: Contemplating Now and the newly released Queering Contemplation, and also co-hosts the Encountering Silence podcast.
