Molly Baskette / How To Begin When the World is Ending: A Workshop

Sat 2:00pm - 2:50pm

Venue: Front Porch

Co-Creators

Type of Experience: Workshop

Content Type: A (fun!) post-traumatic resiliency workshop

How do we redeem the toughest things that have happened to us? How do we see our wounds as openings through which God can enter our most tender and hidden places? How do we discern between emergencies and emerge-and-SEEs? Drawing on the concept of post-traumatic resilience and “disaster theology” material from Molly Baskette’s new book, How To Begin When Your World is Ending: A Spiritual Field Guide to Joy Despite Everything, we’ll storytell, pray and/or journal with material from the past 2 years of our individual and collective lives, metabolizing it into participatory transcendence and holy sharing. We’ll close with a mini-dance party, so come ready for sweet awkward grooving.
