Type of Experience: Presentation

Content Type: Forgive Yourself and Release Negativity

We are taught about the importance of forgiving others – many of us at a young age – however, what about forgiving ourselves? Is forgiveness of self a radical act? Many of us are taught to be selfless, however how can we give to others what we do not first give to ourselves? When we center on self and learn how to release negative emotions and feelings of regret, guilt and shame we create space for more loving and positive feelings within that we can then give to others. Radical Self-forgiveness is to believe that we have the ability to forgive ourselves and through self-forgiveness we can learn to have compassion for who we were leading us to love and accept ourselves as we are. When we do so, we are then able to share that love and acceptance to those around us co-creating a path to peace for us all. Through this presentation/workshop participants will learn the five steps to self-forgiveness and will be provided the tools to utilize these steps in their own lives.
