Karen Sloan is devoted to the nurture of children and all those who care for them. 20+ years ago she stumbled upon Godly Play as the spiritual practice for multisensory, age and ability inclusive cultivation of wonder and connective exploration, journeys of faith. She leads several circles of Godly Play gatherings, including boys and girls involved in scouting, along with mentoring newer leaders in their Godly Play circles. Other companion pursuits in her work include: nonviolent communication, labyrinth, fixed hour prayer and intentional Christian community. As part of an ecumenical team in her area, Pittsburgh, PA, she is so excited for the debut later this summer of Family Monastery Days - ora et labora household day camp. Karen is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Together with her husband, she is raising two young children in a household with varying amounts of this spiritual formation stew.
