Valerie Lucille

Valerie Lucille grew up in a small, rural town in North Carolina. From an early age, she yearned to understand the whys of life—always chasing meaning. This pursuit led her to pursue higher education degrees in the fields of religion, counseling, and psychology. Valerie holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology and an MA in Mental Health Counseling. Her professional career has focused primarily on researching the intersections of spirituality and health and teaching psychology. She currently works as an instructor in the Behavioral Sciences Department at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and produces inspired content with her love, Debra Lynn. Valerie enjoys spending her time porch sittin’ and taking in the mountain views with her family at their home in Western North Carolina. When she’s not teaching or holding down the porch, she is writing, reading, photographing her world, whitewater rafting, splitting wood, or napping—because sleep is also spiritual.
