Rev. Noah Herren (he/they) is a poet, parent, musician, theologian, ELCA pastor, and creative spirit. Noah attributes his passion for ministry and spirituality to his own journey of reconciling multiple theologies and experience as a transgender man raised in the deep South. Originally from Birmingham, AL, he is a graduate of Candler School of Theology (MDiv) and the University of Alabama (BS-Consumer Sciences). Noah is committed to spiritual development outside the church walls, having served as a teacher of theology in a women’s prison, hospital chaplain, guitar player at bar churches, queer youth mentor, and other non-traditional ministry settings. In their spare time, you will find Noah reading tarot, exploring embodied spiritual practices, falling down virtual rabbit holes, writing, and pet-wrangling with their partner, Laura.
