Reimagining Masculine Rituals and Symbols

In much of Western Christendom's masculine culture, the imagery, language, and symbols used have problematic origins (e.g. Onward Christian Soldiers). Similarly, even many who have tried to reimagine masculinity or manhood haven't always been respectful or even aware of how they appropriate the rituals and symbols of other, ancient cultures. Others in efforts to avoid toxic behaviors and language lose all sense of a symbolic world necessary to capture the imagination. This Convo Hall will look at ways in the current contexts of participants to re-imagine healthy masculine principles and male behavior that don't implicity reinforce toxic or watered down masculinity.
