Religion can and should be a source of comfort, hope and community, but for those in the LGBTQ community religion is often anything but comforting. It can in fact be a source of bullying that leads to great harm and pain. Because when individuals or groups use religion to demean, harass or exclude people by telling them they are broken, less than or separated from God because of who they are or who they love, this is bullying.

This session will include an engaging thought-provoking conversation to end this type of bullying behavior within religious institutions and their influence in civil society. We will explore ways participants can collaborate, share stories and work together to reach the tipping point of inclusion within faith communities and in society.
