Are you interested in spiritual writing? Join Faith in Public Life, Writing for Your Life, and Compassionate Christianity for an open and interactive discussion where we all can share what we've learned about writing, publishing, and marketing progressive Christian books. Learn about the many existing resources available to support your spiritual writing efforts, and help develop more! The publishing industry has changed drastically - now having a strong group of followers (aka platform) is as important as your writing. Learn about the business and marketing requirements for building a successful writing career and helping others through your writing. We will talk about marketing, podcasters, book groups, indie book awards, advertising your book, platform development, and other aspects of marketing your books. Writing for Your Life already offers a wide variety of free resources, conferences, and services; but we will consolidate what we all contribute at this session into shared online resource lists that progressive Christian authors can freely access. Writing for Your Life also offers spiritual writers' conferences that have a reputation for very high quality speakers and strong collegiality, and have been consistently rated 4.6 or higher on a scale of 1 to 5.
