My talk will cover the aspects/definitions of racism, white supremacy, bigotry, and white privilege. Exploring Dr. Kendi’s work on racist thought, I will share the ideas of education exposed by Dr. Elliot Eisner and how ideas get entrenched into our belief systems. I will incorporate Dr. Daniel Kahneman’s work on system thinking to discuss how entrenched ideas remain entrenched. This is to establish the Church’s resistance to discussing the “crime” of racism and the possible remedy.
