The Bible is the story of God leading humanity to resist oppression and oppose tyrants. We rarely hear scripture spoken of this way-- especially the many of us who grew up in white churches blinded by white supremacist biblical interpretations that enforced domination systems and blinded us to God’s call to free the world from slavery and tyranny. This workshop will enable you to participate in Midrash, a form of Jewish biblical interpretation that responds to our present struggles.
