Learning from the Pandemic to Create More Equitable Community Engagement
Fri 1:00pm - 1:50pm
Venue: Convo 04
We spend a lot of time talking about what equitable community engagement looks like. However, most of the best practices we usually recommend are not feasible in the time of COVID-19. For example, a community meeting with one-to-one conversations, hands-on activities, and a shared meal is the last thing we should be doing right now. How do we meaningfully and equitably engage communities in planning and decision-making processes in the time of social distancing? This workshop will offer creative solutions and valuable lessons for community engagement both during the current pandemic and beyond it.
