Leadership of PWD in Liturgies
Fri 1:00pm - 1:50pm
Our disabled bodies, like other bodies throughout the church's history, do not fit the pulpit or the chancel. Neither did women's bodies, racialized bodies, queer bodies, etc. What spaces are needed to be created for PWD to hear their voices and experiences shared in the liturgy (the work of ALL people)? How can PWD and their allies advocate for more opportunities? How do we live out theology that states all baptized persons are invited to discern a call to ministry regardless (or because of) their gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc. Let us start thinking about possibilities for leadership in liturgy together!
