Randy Evans

Randy Evans is the founder/director of Walking Tall Wilmington. He lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife Marya, Great-Nephew Jaxon, and two labs Zoe, and Izzy. He moved to Wilmington from Raleigh, NC in the Fall of 2013. He strives to create community with the most marginalized groups through giving full access and offering radical hospitality. Randy is the 2018 recipient of the Foundation on Evangelism Harry Denman Award and The 2019 recipient of the NC Department of Justice Dogwood Award. He's written for Cape Fear Magazine, Missional Wisdom Foundation, and Red Letter Christians. He has been featured on HLN, NPR, StarNews, WWAY News, WECT News, Encore Magazine, and Raleigh News and Observer. His work just recently went viral when Hollywood Actress Jamie Lee Curtis endorsed Walking Tall on her Social Media Platforms. In addition to leading Walking Tall, he also enjoys Yoga, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Howard Thurman Diet Mountain Dew, The Rolling Stones and Haunted Houses.
