Originally from Texas, Chaplain Roberts completed her undergraduate degree at Liberty University. She studied Native American and Western History at the University of Oklahoma and then completed her Master of Divinity degree at Phillips Theological Seminary. She is an ACPE Certified Educator. She is board certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) and the National Association of VA Chaplains (NAVAC) Chaplain Roberts entered federal service as a Chaplain specializing in Mental Health Chaplaincy. She completed her CPE Supervisory training at Brook Army Medical Center as the only civilian trained by the US Army to be a CPE Educator. She is currently the director (Chief) of the Chaplains at the VA North Texas Healthcare System in Dallas, TX, She is also currently working on her Ph.D. in leadership at Johnson University with a focus on Feminism and Care Ethics. Chaplain Roberts is widowed and enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in what little spare time she has she enjoys, traveling, camping and fishing.
