Yona Frenchhawk

Yona Frenchhawk, a full-blooded member of The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, carries on the vision of his ancestors, sharing the meaning of traditional ceremonies as a way of life as his Grandfather taught him. Recognizing and accepting that we are all One Indigenous tribe of Mother Earth is essential to the spiritual evolution of the future of the humans inhabiting it. Honoring Mother Earth and all life therein and helping to bridge the ancient past to the ancient future is Yona's lifework. He is also a respected community leader and Minister of Indigenous Ceremony and Ritual at Jubilee! Community Church in Asheville, N.C.
