Sharon Quackenbush, M.A. has spent the last decade at the intersection of spirituality and mental health. After a few years as a middle school teacher, she's worked in churches as a children's director and as a certified youth pastor, where she worked to cultivate community for LGBTQ+ teenagers inside a non-affirming denomination. She's a graduate of Youth Ministry Institute, and she has earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida, and she's particularly interested in how religious institutions can unknowingly inflict trauma on young people.
