Originally an electrician in a steel mill, Richard Schaffer graduated from college at the age of 46 to start a second career teaching Adult Basic Education in a community college and decision making in his local prison system and juvenile detention center. He wrote a book for his grandchildren when they were graduating from High School to pass on his learnings, his values and family history.
