Mark Dannenfelser

Mark Dannenfelser is founding director of the Mindfulness Center of Atlanta. The mission of the Mindfulness Center is to increase the well-being and healing of those experiencing stress and distress, as well as to increase optimal functioning in the areas of health, education and work, using evidence based, integrative, mind-body practices and clinical psychology. Mark is the Program Coordinator for Contemplative Outreach International, the organization founded by Trappist monk Fr. Thomas Keating, whose vision is to support the renewal of the Christian contemplative tradition through the practice of Centering Prayer. Mark is a Certified MBSR Teacher (Center for Mindfulness in Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-GA), a Certified Spiritual Director (Spring Hill College), a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), and a Commissioned Presenter of the Centering Prayer method (Contemplative Outreach International). Professionally, Mark is most interested in working at the point of intersection between contemplative practice and healing.
