Amy Linnemann is a lifelong student and longtime educator. She holds undergraduate degrees in Philosophy, English, and Theater, an M.A. in English Literature and Composition, and a Ph.D. in English Literature and feminist ethics. As the director of a nonprofit foster care support agency called Beloved, Amy advocates daily on behalf of vulnerable children. As a mother of multi-racial children, her passion for inclusion and equality holds high personal stakes and demands lots of critical self-reflection. She lives in Columbus, Indiana with her husband and five children, three of whom are triplets and four of whom she educates at home. On Sunday mornings, her family worships at the very rural Ohio Chapel United Methodist Church, where Amy serves as the senior pastor.
