Didier Monga Wa Shakapanga

Didier Monga wa Shakapanga is a missionary with the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries, from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Currently, he is serving as a mission advocate for young adult mission service at Global Ministries. He is a former Global Mission Fellow and has served in Côte d’Ivoire from 2015 to 2017, as a community advisor in the HIV/AIDS ministry for The United Methodist Church in that West African country. As a mission advocate, he promotes and interprets missionary service as a vocational choice for young adults, including the Global Mission Fellows program, which places persons between the ages of 20 and 30 for two years of service, usually in justice ministries around the world. Among the truths to which Didier holds is faithfulness to the word of God, constant praise of Jesus Christ through community actions, and forgiveness, including forgiveness of one another as God has forgiven us. His call to mission is strongly related to a sense of joy in serving others.
