Shikera Thomason

Shikera was born and raised in rural Carroll County Georgia. After graduating high school, she pursued and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1999 from the University of West Georgia. Shikera returned to school in 2002 and began coursework to become a Special Education teacher. After teaching students with disabilities for eleven years, Shikera knew she desired to serve humanity in a greater capacity! She obtained her Master’s Degree in Human Services from Mercer University in May 2018. Shikera believes servitude should also originate and be carried out in love. Currently She is a facilitator/ co-facilitator at Circles of West Georgia ( a non-profit organization helping people understand how to come out of poverty). Shikera takes steps daily to facilitate healing for people from all walks of life, and as a conqueror of trauma she exhorts others to triumphantly pursue intentional healing! Shikera truly enjoys making people laugh. Shikera and her wife April enjoy making new memories especially through serving humanity by seeing everyone as a children of God. Finally Shikera thoroughly enjoys transforming into her commedienne persona “Sister May the truth be told” an elderly church mother sharing hard yet hilarious truths!
