Jennie Belle, Sarah Clark-Farnell

Jennie Belle is a Faith Community Organizer with Church World Service. She was born and raised in Savannah GA. She moved to Texas for her undergraduate education at Rice University during which time she studied in Latin America and participated in service projects in Central America. After graduation, she moved to Spain to teach English. Jennie then came to North Carolina for a dual degree M.Div./M.S.W. graduate program at Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill where her work focused on advocating for farm workers and organizing churches for social justice. Jennie previously directed the immigration program of the North Carolina Council of Churches and currently works for the Immigrant & Refugee Rights Program of Church World Service. She provides leadership and direction for faith community outreach with an emphasis on rural organizing efforts and assisting local organizing efforts to build up the Sanctuary Movement in new regions.

Sarah Clark-Farnell is a seminary student at Chicago Theological Seminary. She recently completed a year-long internship with the North Carolina Sanctuary Coalition. She is passionate about social justice and believes migration is a human right. Sarah is a North Carolina native who lives in Chapel Hill with her partner and
