Afraid, sad, angry, exhausted – does this sound like you?

For those of us involved in the ‘good struggle’ for a more loving, equitable planet, political upheaval, ecological devastation, racial oppression, social disintegration, and spiritual despair seem to be clocking in at record speeds, often sapping our energy, momentum, and sense of well-being.

How can we continue working in our vital vocations — be we minister, artist, activist, teacher, parent — without losing our souls?

Is it possible to slow down and nourish ourselves and what truly sustains, even as we continue feeding others?

At Wisdom Camp, we think so…and on the morning of the Wild Goose Festival launch day, we intend to spend a day together exploring the play that gives us access to genuine power and perseverance!

Drawing on time-tested streams of contemplative wisdom — from the spirituality of Jesus, the compost of Christianity, interspiritual and trans-racial lineages of Buddhism and Quaker practice, and more — this year’s Wisdom Camp brings us water from deep wells.

Join us as we set the table for:

  • Divine communion
  • Genuine play
  • Seeing and being seen
  • Healing silence
  • Resting in our bodies
  • Telling better stories

Come to this one-day celebration of contemplative practice, resourcing you for the life you live the rest of the year!

David Bollt

“Whatever I’m seeking in life, I realize I’m not going to find it alone. I believe our greatest opportunities for fulfillment and a sense of true connection can be found in relationship with others. I love creating spaces where we put aside all other distractions and dive into what really matters … being with people.”

Through years of personal transformation and relational training, David has cultivated a remarkable capacity to help people illuminate unconscious behavior patterns that cause them to suffer. Along with events in Asheville, North Carolina, he leads weekend workshops and retreats around the country, including the Servant Leadership School and the world famous Authentic Man Program. With his fluency in transformational work, David sees group facilitation and personal growth as an art form. He has developed his own highly articulate style of helping people realize authenticity and freedom.

Bushi Yamato Damashi

Bushido Yamato Damashii often refered to as: heiwa no bushi or “peaceful samurai,” is no stranger to the Wild Goose Festival interfaith theologians, social activists, and spiritualists. Only in 2018 did he emerge to tell his story from Christianity to Buddhism and the emergence of BodhiChristo®️. Bushi is a bright light of interfaith immersive practice for our time and the founder of Sangha Bodhi Christo (the Buddhist-Christian student and practice community which teaches and practices with Bushi). He is the founder, abbott, and director at Thomasville Buddhist Center in Thomasville NC, and a guest lecturer at many colleges and universities abroad, as well as, many churches conferences and small group spaces. An authorized Dharma teacher and Vajrayana Buddhist he uses the Buddhist schools of wisdom as a base for understanding Christ’s urging of compassion towards oneself and others. A truly deep thinker and luminous energy within humanity Bushi speaks to our deepest levels of suffering as Western human beings. He is a student of two of the country’s most profound Buddhist teachers, Lama Rod Owens, and Lama Justin Von Bujdoos.
